Baltimore's High Zero Festival of Experimental Improvised Music is in its 22nd year – and a bizarre year it is! But as you might expect, we are undaunted.

Not only are we undaunted, we’re compelled to do something audacious with our 4-day festival of all-new music. So we’re partnering with like-minded organizations across the country to present four nights of music... from a different city every night!

We could not be more excited. Every night, we’ll present 1 improvised ensemble performance, 2 improvised solo performances and 1 piece by a local experimental film/video maker. All four nights will be streamed on our Twitch channel.

This year, more than ever, we all need a sense of possibility and a chance to look beyond the rigid patterns of the present moment. The collective upwelling of talent, eccentric thinking, and pure sensuality that is High Zero Festival is a perfect escape hatch for these overly constrained times. We hope you will join the party.
