HIGH JINX:

Installation

DROGOUL WINDOW PERFORMANCE
Using her home as stage, Laure Drogoul builds a strange musical installation/performance. N. Howard st. at Monument.

OUTDOOR PIECES

Sound makers which are cheap and easily constructed. They must be able to be hidden or locked in some way to existing public structures. “Talking greeting cards” rigged with D-cell batteries for very long life placed in a sewer grate or up on a ledge. Or an Aeolian(wind driven) harp or wind chimes up in a tree. These things may or may not last long in public. Fri, 9/16 12:00 AM

PUBLIC USE INSTRUMENTS

A city filled with public use instruments. The instruments would need to be cheap and easily attached to trees or fences. Or they might include using a street sign to make a “cigar box” style guitar. Or putting a bucket and two sticks nearby for drumming or using cheap dollar store bike pumps to blow on pvc horns. These instruments would set up near bus stops or where people congregate and hopefully we’d hear some tunes. Sun, 9/18 12:00 AM

UNDERGROUND MUSIC

Bury an amp under ground, but have it plugged in and able to plug a 1/4” jack into a cable above ground. A performer could plug a guitar into it and play. Others could use it. Maybe it could be left in the ground for several days. Wed, 9/21 12:00 PM

CAKE MIX

An amplified cake gets slowly eaten while playing Baltimore club beats from within. Get yer freak on for sweets. Sat, 9/24 12:00 AM

MUSIC GAME

Some type of musical game performed in public. Perhaps a chess or checkers set could be rigged to make sound and players could enjoy a symphony of tones while they battle. Sun, 9/25 6:00 PM

These events can only happen with your help. The more performances happening in the streets the more exciting High Jinx becomes. Email us about performing in or helping to organize any of these events.
