Saturday
AFTERNOON, Sept 28, 1:00 PM::
AKA SOUND/SHIFT II
The Saturday matinee performance will have an unusual structure
different from the rest of the festival. Overlapping 20 minute
"sets" of musicians will play; each "grouping"
overlaps in equal thirds at beginning and end and has a center
20 minutes with just the group in question.
The piece doesn't end for 4 hours and 20 minutes(!)--the audience
is free to come and go over the course of the performance, of
course.
(Exceptions are shorter first and last groupsing, who play for
40 minutes, not 60).
