Stephanie Barber’s work is philosophical, with a focus on language. Her bold ideas are often balanced by a playful humor. Saturday afternoon, she will collaborate with five High Zero musicians to compose nine vignettes, live, based on a detailed examination of nine found photographs. Barber will interject with speech, providing moments of reflection and absurdity. The musicians will react to, ignore, collaborate with, and impishly prod their fellow musicians, the photographs, and Barber’s own monologue, creating a playground of ideas that demand to be witnessed.
