For the past four years the High Zero Festival has expanded beyond pure improvised music to include a rich program of gallery sound installations, which have been highly stimulating. Here the emphasis is on unusual environments and experiences which require special preparation and represent new collaborations or a single individuals vision.

This year's festival presents original works by three individuals:

Joseph Hammer & Sayo Mitsuishi (Los Angeles, CA)
Morning Exercise Revisited
Residue from an ambiguous performance about the private moment that happens first thing in the morning in bed.
Location: Brown Center

Twig Harper (Baltimore, MD)
American Insurgency
An 8-channel audio work in cycles of 24 minutes, dedicated to the resistance in NOLA.
Location: Brown Center Stairwell + Lobby

Jenny Graf Bibulah (Baltimore, MD)
Myth of the Plaster Cast of the Sculpture of the Myth / MOPCOSM
With Myth of the Plaster Cast of the Sculpture of the Myth or MOPCOSM, Jenny Graf Bibulah animates the plaster casts of ancient sculpture that reside in the lobby of the Main building of MICA with sonic material from Baltimore evoking a new mythological interpretation of Hermes, Theseus and Artemis.
Location: Main Building

All installations will be housed at MICA.
Viewing hours: 9am-8:30pm daily.
