Two special sets conceived and curated by John Bischoff and Mark Trayel, and Andrew Bernstein.
John Bischoff's and Mark Trayle's GUIDED BY IMPULSE:
"Guided by Impulse" recombines two of our compositions for The Hub, John's "Partial Guidance" and my own "In My Room." John's portion of this piece uses sonic characteristics derived from impulses sounded by the instrumental ensemble to create a shifting harmonic framework for our improvisation. I use the spectral profile of the performers' workspaces (gathered through impulse responses) in a similar fashion. Using these sound portraits we create a composition unique to the people who play it and the places where they live and work." - Mark Trayle
