During
the course of High Zero 2000, The Mount Royal Studio (formerly Social Services)
was the site of a series of professional session recordings of
various improvisors from the festival. It was an amazing time.
Many
thanks to engineer Charlie Jameson for his generosity, skill, extreme patience,
and grace under pressure (even with unreasonable dynamics).
While
the full recordings will hopefully find their way eventuall into publication,
the
following MP3 excerpts are a small taste of the roughly five hours that were
recorded:
SOLO:
Jackj Wright [saxophone]
TRIO:
"RBM Cartel" piece 1
Evan Rapport [reeds, etc.]
Tom Boram [guitar, etc.]
Toshi
Makihara [percussion, etc.]
TRIO:
"RBM Cartel" piece 2
Evan Rapport [reeds, etc.]
Tom Boram [guitar, etc.]
