INVENTED INSTRUMENT BAND
Improv concert of only experimental invented instruments. You don’t have to be the inventor, you could be playing an invented instrument of someone else’s. In the BMA sculpture garden. Fri, 9/16 6:00 PM

UNDERWATER MUSIC
This is a difficult one, but I’d love to see a music concert in water. Ideally, some of the audience would also be in water (pool? where?) and some of the instruments could be heard while the audience is under water. We’d love to get help from Fluid Movement. Sat, 9/17 12:00 PM

THE HAT BAND
Players free improvise but, must have outrageously silly hats on. In front of the brick Buddha near the MICA ceramics dept. OR downtown farmers market under JFX expressway at Saratoga and Guilford. Tue, 9/20 8:30 AM

BAND WITH NO VOLUME/VOLUME WITH NO BAND
Two bands playing electric and electronic instruments (electric guitar, bass, electronic drums, laptop, theremin, etc.) are set up in two different rooms. In one room you see the performers in one band, but you hear the sound from the other band and in the other room vice versa. The two rooms must be nearby so that the audience could easily go from one to the other, but be fairly sound proofed so the sounds don’t overlap. This could be done with one band only and the sound would be sent to another room. Fri, 9/23 3:30 PM

CASSETTE RECORDING GIVEAWAY
A free recording booth is set up. Members of the public can improvise with “professionals” and be recorded onto a 3 minute tape loop. If you play then you get the tape. Sat, 9/24 6:00 PM

BOWING BALTIMORE
People who have bows can converge at a public location and improvise together by bowing whatever public objects they can get a sound from--buildings, furniture, trash cans, newspaper boxes, etc. When the current objects are exhausted, the group moves elsewhere. Sun, 9/25 12:00 PM
